The stars of the show

When something thinks of penning a rather peculiar Twilight Fanfiction, they never, in a million years, could imagine developing it into an individual book trilogy and later a movie franchise. To E.L. James, the whole thing couldn’t have been less than a dream. From over-night fame to a movie deal starring Dakota Johnson (known for Crazy in Alabama and Need for Speed) as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Doran (the huntsman in ABC’s Once Upon a Time) as the titular man of fifty shades Christian Grey, the movie was one of the most anticipated releases as soon as the first promotional trailer was released.

Initially, the choice of lead casting was meet by serious uproar from the fans, since, in their opinion, both Johnson and Doran weren’t equipped for the demands of their titular roles. But, over the course of three movies, the two seems to grow on the movie-going audience, who eventually embraced them.

The two leads were accompanied by Marcia Gay Harden (American Gun, Into The Wild), Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford and Jennifer Ehle (The King’s Speech, RoboCop) in the first instalment of the franchise. They were later accompanied by Kim Brasinger (Batman, The Natural), Bella Heathcote (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Neon Demon), Arrielle Kebbel (Vampire Diaries) and Eric Johnson (Smallville) as the antagonist of the series, Jack Hyde.
